Terms of service

Effective October 6, 2026

These are the rules for using OnlyCans Ottawa ("OnlyCans", "we", "us"). By booking a pickup or starting a subscription, you agree to them.

Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically each month until you cancel.
• To cancel, tell us before your next renewal date. If you cancel after it renews, your service continues until the end of that month and the next month won't be charged.
• We don't give refunds or credits for partial months.

Pickups

• Have your garbage at the curb (or wherever we've agreed) on your pickup day. If it isn't out when we come by, the pickup counts as done — there's no refund or credit for a missed put-out.
• If we miss a pickup that was out and ready, let us know and we'll come back and take care of it.
• Weather, road conditions, holidays or anything else outside our control can delay pickups. We'll get to you as soon as we safely can.

What we take

Household and commercial garbage, and junk we've agreed to take. We don't take hazardous waste, including paint, chemicals, propane tanks, batteries, or medical waste. We can refuse anything that isn't safe to handle.

Quotes and one-time jobs

Junk removal, mini containers, events and seasonal service are quoted per job. A quote is good for the job as you described it. If the job turns out bigger or different, we'll tell you the new price before we do the work.

Payment

• Prices are in Canadian dollars and don't include HST.
• We may change our prices. Subscribers get at least 30 days' notice before a change applies.
• If a payment is late, we may pause service until it's paid.

Your property

You're responsible for making sure we can safely get to your garbage. We take care on your property, but we're not responsible for normal wear on cans, totes or driveways. If we damage something, please notify us within 48 hours and provide photos.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use our service means you accept the updated terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
